Now, that you have signed up, you have made it back
to this page, you are wondering what can I do? I see
links about how I can post pictures, or participate in
forums, but what does that really mean? The website
provides the basics of information links that go to
hospitals, government agencies, or classified ads, but
its up to the users of the site to fill in all the information.
There are many things you can do to add to the site.
Have a favorite doctor? You can recommend him to
other people. Have a bad problem with the company
that provided you with your wheelchair? Maybe its
not just you, report it here. Need an idea of where
to go for dinner? Peruse the restaurant section and
see what is in your area of town and what the facilities
are like. This site can be used for just about anything
and everything. Its all up to you!

HERE’S A SHORT SUMMARY OF HOW THE SITE WORKS.

DSPIN is designed as a virtual community with several buildings. If what you want to post, or what you are interested in, seems like it would be in one of these buildings, click on the building you have in mind. There’s no “wrong” building. We think that what is posted will sort itself out over time. If that doesn’t happen, we will make some changes in the site, and you can change the site too.

When you click on a building, you will see one or more of the following “prompts”:

- Speak Out! Post on the Message Boards!
- Post, Read, or Edit a Document
- Post, Read, or Edit News
- Post, Read About, or Edit Events
- Post, Read, or Answer Classifieds
- Post, Look At, or Edit an Exhibit

Pick a category, click on it, and see if it looks like the right place for what you
have in mind. If it is, post, read, edit, answer, look at, or try something else that seems like fun.

Dspin is also branching out to the whole state of Missouri. Most of the issues on dSpin are statewide but sometimes there are regional issues or resources. There are regional areas set up for some parts of the state, and can be set up for any other part.

There’s another thing you can do on DSPIN. You can help of your community.

Most importantly, tell us what you think! What’s easy to do? What’s hard to do? What’s missing? What’s boring? What do you like and dislike about the site? We need your feedback to make the site better.
