Provides investgation of abused, neglect, exploitation to the elderly and hanidcapped. Also assesses need and authorizes in-home services for homemaker, chore, personal care program, and consumer directed care program. Information and referrals.

HEAD START - Children 3-5 years old participate in classroom experiences, and families are visited in the home several times during the year by Head Start staff. Head Start is a nationalwaide program that serves expectant families and children birth to five who meet income guideline. They experience activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally and physically. RETIRED AND SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (RSVP) - A national program, but sponsored locally by Douglass Community Services, Inc. RSVP provides volunteer opportunities for persons age 55 and older. The purpose of RSVP is to enrich the lives of older adults through significant community service work.
