Direct Support Professionals of Indiana (DSPIN) was founded in 2009 as an advocacy and educational support group. The objective of DSPIN is to serve the many direct support professionals throughout the state. We accomplish this through educational and networking opportunities, forums, advocacy initiatives, and programs that facilitate the growth of the DSP community. DSPIN also serves to educate the community at large on the role and importance of DSPs in the state of Indiana.
DSPIN hosts an annual conference that brings together direct support professionals from across the state. Attendees have the opportunity to take part in educational talks, as well as network with like-minded individuals. This year’s DSPIN conference takes place on Thursday, November 1st, 2018 at the Wyndham Indianapolis West.
DSPIN seeks to empower the lives of those we serve, through education, awareness, and collaborative action.
DSPIN Joins Forces with the IN-ABC
We are proud to announce that in the fall of 2017, the Indiana Association of Behavioral Consultants (IN-ABC) became the mentoring and supporting partner of DSPIN. This partnership will allow us to shape policy, encourage professional development, and commensurate wages and opportunities for advancement within the DSP community. You can find out more about IN-ABC through the IN-ABC website, or by connecting with DSPIN on Facebook.
